Harris Park is located in between 76 th and 72nd to Sheridan and Lowell.  Harris Park features homes built in the 1950s and have multiple ranch style homes.  This neighborhood is close to many conveniences and has been well established.  Many homeowners have made renovations to their homes over the years and most homes have very nice sized lots.  There is definitely room to grow here.

Marco's Pizza

Image Via Wikipedia

It’s late…there’s nothing in the fridge…going to the grocery store seems like a chore…you deserve a good dinner…relax, there’s a way around this internal conversation: Marcos Pizza.  Marcos Pizza is a recently new arrival to the Orchard Mall in Westminster, CO.  Marco’s pizza is located right next to the AMC Theater 12 – Orchard Mall.  They offer delivery which may be a good idea since parking can be a bit dicey.  The Orchard Mall features metered parking which can be tight although they do offer parking around the rear – it is a stroll…This great maker of pizza focuses on three areas: dough, sauces and cheese.  They hit it out of the park on all phases.

From their website:

About Marco’s Pizza

Headquartered in Toledo; OH Marco’s Pizza (Marco’s Franchising, LLC) is the fastest-growing pizza company in the U.S. (based on the number of stores signed into development since 2007). Marco’s was founded by Pasquale “Pat” Giammarco and is committed to making Ah!thentic Italian pizza with fresh ingredients. The company has grown from its roots as a beloved Ohio brand to operate more than 250 stores in 20 states and the Bahamas. Marco’s is now recognized as one of the top-performing restaurant franchises in the country.

Our family just recently had the conversation above last weekend and ordered from our favorite local pizza place: Marcos.  The selection they have to offer is remarkable with some very unique options such as:

  • Chicken Fresco
  • White Cheezy
  • Hawaiian Chicken
Next time you have a need for someone else to make dinner do yourselves a favor and check out Marcos Pizza.
Instead of driving there it may be a good idea to relocate closer so you can walk…(pardon my less than fluid segue into real estate 😉 although here are some great homes for sale  in Westminster, CO that would be in walking distance to Marcos Pizza.
Contact info for Marcos:
14663 Orchard Parkway

Red Day Banner - Keller Williams Preferred Realty Gives Back

Food Drive

Every year Keller Williams agents from around the world take off one day from their businesses to give back to our communities in a charitable way. Join me and Keller Williams Preferred Realty on May 12, 2011 as we collect food for those in need as we partner with Broomfield Fish. Last year we teamed up with The Food Bank of the Rockies and collected over 1,800 pounds of food. This year we’ve increased our goal to 5,000 pounds of food.

The Strange Team dropped off bags in several of our neighboring communities and will be picking those up the day of the drive. Feel free to join us in dropping off your donations at 11859 Pecos Street #200 Westminster, CO 80234 at the grand finale drop off point between 3-5pm. Stay tuned for an update on your success.

From Anythink’s website:

http://www.anythinklibraries.org/news-item/anythink-announces-grand-opening-celebration-huron-street-library

On Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, residents of Northglenn, Thornton, Federal Heights and surrounding areas will get their first glimpse of the beautiful new Anythink Huron Street at the regional library’s grand opening celebration. The 25,000-square-foot facility will surprise and delight new and loyal library customers with its unique design and thousands of new materials.

The event’s theme, “A Celebration of Light,” is inspired by the building itself. One of the most striking features of the building are its windows that allow for natural light to pour through the space and offer incredible views of the Niver Creek Trail, part of the City of Thornton’s Open Space trail system.

Festivities for that day will begin at 1 pm with the official ribbon-cutting ceremony; doors open at 1:30 pm. Explore variations on light – from light graffiti to kaleidoscopes – while enjoying wintertime refreshments throughout the day.  Thornton’s own Flute Salad will play in the lobby from 1:30-3 pm. From 2:30-4:30 pm, “Reflections on Light – An Adult Story Time,” will be held by the fireplace. Guests are encouraged to bring written selections on the theme of light to read aloud, and several guest readers will also be participating. Outside, two dancers from Colorado Fire Tribe’s Firemancer will perform while ice sculptor Craig Winter of Aesthetic Ice works on a unique ice creation.

Manick Sorcar, internationally known laser light artist, will perform a spectacular laser light show by the entrance to the children’s area at 4:45 pm, repeating his performance every half hour until 6 pm. Visitors can also see Sorcar’s artwork on display in the community room that day.
